The 5th ECAN Educational Fair is set to be organized by Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN) at Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall, Kathmandu from August 18 - 21, 2011. Presented by The Kathmandu Post, the event will be managed by The Event Organizer und Manager of Kathmandu Exhibitions (EOM-KE).
Conceived as the largest educational fair, this four-day event especially focuses on the students aspiring to study abroad as well the concerned parents. The exhibitors will provide right and relevant information to the visitors on the available academic degrees, and thus will make it easier for them to choose among a wide array of study destinations. Bounded by a Code of Conduct, ECAN members can guarantee a proper guidance and career-counseling to prospective students. Thus, this event intends to act as a forum to bring together Nepalese consultants where in they can interact with students, parents and international academic institutions. Similarly, it can assist policy makers, researchers, and other stakeholders concerned with the recent development of in and abroad study by providing pertinent information.
The visiting students will be counseled on study courses available in USA, UK, Australia, Germany, India, Ireland, Switzerland, Philippines, China and other countries by our competent colleagues. Also, they can avail information on preparatory classes, bridge courses, and scholarship schemes offered by colleges/universities abroad. This instrumental event will help them learn about current channels adopted in Nepal for abroad study, application procedures, the academic atmosphere in foreign nations, their educational system and the applied rules and regulations.
The fair will be participated by a total of 125 participants comprising of colleges/universities/consultancies of home and abroad, diplomatic missions, and business institutions. Notably, 80% of the stalls have been already booked. The event aims to attract a footfall of more than 120,000 potential clients. The stalls will be open from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The event title is to be sponsored by The British College. Similarly, the fair will be held in co-operation with South London College, and will be co-sponsored by Alfa Beta Institute Pvt. Ltd., Dolphin Education Consultancy Centre Pvt. Ltd., Eclipse Animation Academy, Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE College), Hub International Education Pvt. Ltd., Institute of Banking and Management Studies (IBM), London School of Commerce (LSC) Group of colleges, Mate’s Education Pvt. Ltd., NASA Institute Pvt. Ltd., Shikshapeeth, and Southwestern State College. Meanwhile, Ministry of Education, Nepal Tourism Board (NTY 2011), Embassy of Malaysia, British Council, Alliance Francaise, Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN) will collaborate as the supporters of the event.
