HUMAN’S BODY CLOCK (Biological Clock)

HUMAN’S BODY CLOCK (Biological Clock)
Before we plan our daily activities, it is imperative to understand Human’s Body Clock. Human’s Body clock is normal timepiece for human beings. We people are influenced by several factors regarding the environment. The most amazing fact about human’s cell is that it knows what time it is. It seems crazy and strange but it is well known fact that human beings posses a biological clock.
·         It is more often of an accident to occur during late night or early morning.
·         The fever is at its highest during the late afternoon which is a well known fact
These are some of the facts that make us believe that the Biological clock exists which is also scientifically considered. Here are some important findings from the biological clock-
1.       Fastest reacting time
2.       Best coordination time
3.       Time at which blood pressure and body temperature becomes high and low
4.       High alertness time
Here is the biological clock all at once.........

Biological Clock

However it is not necessary that every person should have same biological clock. Some people are found to be of evening nature and some of morning nature. Evening-people probably have a longer period in their circadian rhythm, so that they are not yet sleepy in the evening, when it is time to go sleep. The biological clock even changes or become less potent with age. Elder peoples often sleep less, have trouble falling asleep, wake up more often can be explained by the fact that their biological clock is no longer functioning well

WHAT IS MIGRAINE??

WHAT IS MIGRAINE??

Why don’t you take some painkillers, it’s just a headache.” This is the response of everyone around you when you have a headache. But, they don’t understand the headache we call migraine. Migraine is something excruciatingly painful, but many a times it has been misunderstood as a simple headache. Simple and migraine, they are not even close.
I got my first migraine headache when I was 17 years old. But, little did I know, what was happening to me. Attacks of nausea and a phobia of light and sound surrounded me. I seriously thought something was wrong with me psychologically. I was irritated with the light and was searching for a quiet and dark place. When I tried explaining what was happening to me, I was not able to say anything as I felt crippled and could not form the right sentence. I also felt temporarily blinded. This condition lasted for 15 to 20 minutes. When these stopped, I got a terrible headache in one part of my head. Years later, I learnt that this was what they call a case of classic migraine, an aura plus the headache. Finally, I got rid of the notion that I had some kind of a psychological disorder. What was worse was that people around me even said that I was imagining things. When one gets the headache minus the aura, it’s a common migraine. But when the aura, dear old aura comes into the picture, it’s the case of a classic migraine robbing us of our ability to enjoy what is happening around us. The exact cause for migraine has not yet been proved. Some say it’s a case of heredity, but that does not do justice to someone like me whose family is totally unaware of migraine. Triggering factors play a vital role in migraine.
For some, it can be a certain perfume, whereas for some it can be alterations in the sleeping patterns. Some people get migraines in years, while for some it occurs at an interval of months or even a few weeks. As for medication, no drug touches the pain once the headache starts.
People suffering from migraine have developed their own coping mechanisms to deal with it. The best thing to do would be simply lying down in a dark place for a while. Migraine is unbearable sometimes. Friends and family must make an extra effort to understand what the person goes through.

  MUSIC THERAPY FOR CANCER PATIENTS
Listening to music or having sessions with trained music therapists can help ease cancer patients’ anxiety, researchers say. Music may also have positive effects on their mood, pain and quality of life, according to Joke Bradt of the department of creative arts therapies at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Bradt and colleagues examined evidence from 1,891 cancer patients who took part in 13 trials that used music therapists and 17 trials that used pre-recorded music. Compared to standard treatments, music was associated with a considerable reduction in anxiety, along with benefits in mood, pain, heart and respiratory rates, and blood pressure, according to a systematic review by the Cochrane Collaboration, which evaluates primary research and evidence-based medicine. “The evidence suggests that music interventions may be useful as a complementary treatment to people with cancer,” Bradt said in a news release. “Music interventions provided by trained music therapists as well as listening to pre-recorded music both have shown positive outcomes in this review, but at this time there is not enough evidence to determine if one intervention is more effective than the other,” she added.
