NANOTECHNOLOGY CAN CAUSE REVOLUTION

Can we construct an aeroplane 20 to 50 times their present size but much lighter and more fuel efficient?

Can buildings be erected up to a height that will go through the atmosphere?

Can bridges span through an entire canyon (large valleys)?

Can we implant RAM in our brain and increase the working efficiency?

              

  The answer for all of these is Nanotechnology. Making imaginations is one of the properties of human brain but innovation of such imaginations into reality is the property of human brain only. Creativity is the greatest gift of human intelligence, more complex the world becomes the more creative we need to be to meet its challenges.

 Nanotechnology has a great scope in engineering, medicine, aero-space and much else.

BRIEF INTRO:

                Nanotechnology is the manipulation of very small things indeed. Nanotechnologists are building machines by assembling individual atoms. Nanometre is used to measure such unthinkably small distances of Nanospace.

Nanometre is the billionth of a meter. Roughly the distance that man beard grows in one second is equal to nanometre (never thought of what beard do in one second). Nanometre is small indeed but it is not the smallest things around.

Nanometre = 10^-9 m

Picometer = 10-¹² m

Femtometer = 10^-15 m

Attometer = 10^-18 m

CARBON NANOTUBES:

                Carbon nonotube is an allotrope of carbon. This discovery has shaped the revolution of the new world. It has been found that carbon nanotubes are 100 times stronger than steel and 10^th the weight of steel. Thus all the above questions seem to have an answer. Nanotechnology can make these happen. But when......? Not sure but soon.

This is based on the fact that nanotechnology makes it possible to create any substance or object from the atomic level upwards. Now the power and influence in the world is based on the control of natural and industrial resources. Once nanotechnology makes it possible to synthesize any physical object cheaply and easily, our current economic system will become obsolete.

IN FUTURE

1.       Shirts that can monitor heart beat and other vital signs. So doctors can easily and instantly access through ones health status.

2.       Smart shoes that will convert the action of walking into enough energy to power computers.

3.       Headsets can monitor brain waves that can be converted directly into instructions.

4.       All the supercomputers now will be just as a calculator.

5.       Computers may soon become conscious. By 2020 it may be possible for $1000 to buy a personal computer having processing power same as that of an adult human brain. And by 2030 the personal computer could have the processing power of not one but of a thousand human brains.

6.       Physical merging of computers with our brain becomes possible. Computers in the form of neural implants are already been placed in peoples brain to counteract Parkinson’s disease.

7.       By 2020 neural implants could improve our general sensory experience including our power of memory and reasoning. So in future if you have any import exam coming up then you will be able to buy additional 60 Mb of RAM and having implanted in your brain.

8.       Instead of learning French for 4 years we can directly implant it in our brain by adding some additional dollars.

These all may seem impossible but it is not. Revolution can only occur when something impossible happens. For the people of past the life we are living is the most advanced and revolutionized.
